Nathan & Chase

Chase thanks cellist/composer Nathan Berry for the surprise of a piece dedicated to her. Performers include Ian Guthrie, piano, Nathan, and McCaryn Bourgoise, cello.

 

In addition to providing concerts, an important part of the Clear Creek Music Festival mission is to provide multiple opportunities for community members of all ages to be active participants in music making and to interact with the collegiate students. Music making fun and games. Sing and play Orff instruments while learning pieces to perform either on the Main Street Stage or at the closing concert.

Bring a couple of your favorite songs, things you have performed or things you want to perform, and learn how to sing them stronger, more easily, and in a way that really grabs the audience.  The result is fun for all.

579544_550427458337887_923339338_nImprove you voice while singing great repertoire.  Past selections have ranged from Brahms to Bach to Rutter, spirituals, and world premiers. 

This summer we will perform an arrangement of “Poor Wayfarin’ Stranger” as a prelude to “Crossing the Divide,” Scene 3 of Scenes from the Oregon Trail by Blaise Ferrandino.  The piece will feature the chorus, children’s chorus, oboist Alex Hayashi, and mezzo-soprano Cherry Duke.  Be part of this Grand Finale!

Meet the performers, learn about the music, ask questions.  An opportunity to share ideas on creating art, whether it be painting, woodworking, crafting, music, poetry or other forms.  Learn about the evolution of “Crossing the Plains.”
